Perhaps this belongs in the PCM tuning thread, but oh well. I want a list of tools and software needed to tune my vehicle myself. I know it takes a lot of time and patience to do, but I'm willing to learn. I've heard good things about tunercat and LT1edit. Car is in sig. Do I need to know my cam specs before I can start? The cam is not stock and the dealer does not know the specs.

 

Tunercat (tuning software)
TTS Datatmaster (dattalog software)
AKM cable or equivelent ive also used a cheaper Mastach.com (cable to hook to laptop)
Eprom burner havent had to use one but you will need one for your year of car
And of course a laptop

And yeah cam specs would be helpful
