P0336 code

P0336 code I have this P0336 - Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance, code. I've checked all wires coming from the sensor and made sure they weren't pinched, burned or frayed..Even bought a new sensor and still same problem.. Last yr I replaced the opti because it was shot and this is basically when the problem showed up.. The funny thing is the car runs fine except for alittle burbling after I let off on the accerator.. This is on a 97 Z28 with 64,000 miles on it, Any ideas?
