Default my project, oh boy this is great

look past the dirt, and stuff. this is just a dry fit to get the fitment. still gotta vatt the engine and heads and paint everything. gonna clean up the chrome and buff it with a steel wool pad and then clear it, makes a aluminum look.

dont know what i will paint the engine? any suggestions.

now that i got rid of the water fearing LT1, i can bag the airfilter and pressure wash the engine bay.

remember "WORK IN PROGRESS!"

Thats because you underestimate the LT1. Im almost certain a Gen1 SBC and an LT1 with the similar parts the LT1 would come out on top. Carbed engines are crap too.

lt1 sprung a rod out the oil pan. i had this 500hp oldschool 355 and wanted a rare street car.

here is a vid of the engine, had 8 to 1 compression (ex-blower motor) in this vid.

has 13.5 to 1 piston on thier way now, cant wait. and yes it has a "lil bit" of a cam in it.

Everyone has there own preference. Sounds like a fun ride but a 355 LT1 would have been better! Lol, good job on the swap man. Im out.

Or not. A guy with a Carbed GMC Syclone ran mid 10s, then went FI and ran consistent low 9s on motor. Fuel Injection FOR THE WIN. Its also much eaisier to maintain.

Thats just cause there arent any headers on it.
That motor appears to be sitting in the same location relative to the car as an LT1, so with headers its gonna be just like changing LT1 plugs.
