real slow after trans installation

real slow after trans installation i just finished installing the transmission in my 95 z28 auto and its extremly slow in all forward gears but works great in reverse could it be beacuse i cut the exhaust off at the headers it feels like it lost 100 hp but if i give it 1/4 throttle in reverse it will sqeel the tires.

i just finished installing the exhaust and it still really slow only what coud be causing this transmission or torque converter
could one of the electrical connection be causing this beacuse my speedo is not working either and the abs light is on to.

Could have lost a bunch of low end torque. This is a truck after all. Run your full exhaust and see what happens. Did you make sure the front pump was engaged when you reinstalled the tranny? Maybe your torque convertor is shot cuz of a disengaged front pump and the disks aren't turning. IDK, just guessing......

yeah this is a truck i just put it as a z28 beacuse its the same tranny and converter and i couldnt get an answer anywhere else.
anyways the converter im using has over 185000 miles on it.
I drained some of the oil by turning upside down for a couple days i got about 3 quarts out of it and added 2 quarts of new oil but it still runs like ****.
ohh and my speedo wont work i have a abs light on the dash could this be a loose connection.
how much does a converter go for thanks.

ive only driven it around the block a couple of times do you think the trans is ok im going to have my mech install a new tq converter tommorow i hope thats the problem.
also does anybody know where i can get a cheap tq converter here in sothern california thanks.
