Default LT headers

Okay, i justbought some pacesetters long-tube headers (with emissions hook ups)and a y-pipe for my 96 lt1 trans-am. i want to know what all i need to meet emisions? i live in the city so they do everything

Find a private mechanic and pay him to inspect your car.

Worked for me, I had a blower car with full exhaust and no cat and he passed me every time.

well i dont know how it is in TX....but here in NJ, if you have OBD II, they just plug it in and if there are no codes you pass emissions...i have Pacesetter LTs !CATS and all i did was i cleared the codes right before inspection and it passed.. :-)

It really depends on your state. You'll probably need to make sure you don't have any codes and slap a cat on the y-pipe for emissions testing.
