Default turn signals out

Ok guys I got a problem. My turn signals are totally out. the hazards work and all the lights blink. I even replaced the driver tail light because it looked dim. didnt change anything. the signal stick still clicks when I move it up and down in the posistion but no lights. what do I need to do? I bought the part that goes on the steering column but I dont really know how to install it or if it is the problem.

any suggestions on what to do or how to install? couldnt find it in search or on the web. thanks in advance

My car had the same problem. Its a short somewere from the fuse box to the signals in the lights, i had my local builder help me find it and we did, but then it shorted another wire. Now im getting a 6pt bar and im going to rewire all the stuff so i can have signals again. Not for me but its nice for other people to know were your headed.

you know that should be the first place I checked but no I havent checked the fuses. but they slowly went out. first when i would turn the signal on the light would stay on. so i just did on and off to make it blink myself. then one day they stopped all together. i'll check the fuses tomorrow and if still no luck i'll look into the column and i might give you a call.

lol, "im the dude at community service." thats awesome

I'm not sure about 4th gens, but the same thing happened to my '88 Camaro and it was the flasher bulb, which was a part seperate from the fuse box.

also, my hazards ran on a different flasher bulb than my turn signals.
