Need tune after header install?
I've got a 96 Z28 M6 with stock internals, Borla cat-back (love it), LPE CAI, March underdrive pulley, 3.73's, blah, blah, blah.
I'm going to install a set of headers/ORY (probably Jet Hot or Pacesetter from what I've read on this forum). I'm using the near-worthless Hypertech III now (don't laugh...came with the car...hehehe) and this item will apparently do nothing to tune for the headers. The question is: will I need to get a PCM tune after installing the headers? If so, please shoot me some suggestions...
I did a search but found nothing conclusive to answer the question.
Thanks in advance!
Mike

The mail order tune is probably your best bet.
I don't see a custom or dyno tune helping all that much
for headers. Bolton cars respond very well to mail order tunes.
