I work at parts store and I can get roughly 20% off on a lot of performance gear for our cars. I know a bigger TB ( in this case a Holly) does not make much of a difference (if any on a stock car) but it still seems like a good support mod. I was wondering how much power is the stock TB good for before it starts to bottle neck the air supply to the engine?

 

502 ramjet has a 48mm or 52 throttle body on it and i am sure that thing at 5500rpm is wanting a whole lot more air than most lt1's. Ed wright said he put one on his car and didnt pick up anything. Some people say they picked up 5hp with them, personally i am not going to get one till my motors built and then i am going to try and find a ported stocker.
