Default Cam/Spring Question

I'm going to run a Joe Overton cam specs: (540/540 232/242 109)
My springs have 350lbs of opening pressure. You think thats enough to handle this cam?

I've had some problems with matching the correct spring to this cam before. It was floating the valves around 5500rpm and not reaching even close to its potential. Anyone run a J.O. cam or anything similar?

You need to ask Joe O. what to use. The cam designer knows what valvetrain parts are necessary to work well with the lobes he uses.

I've called Loyd Elliot before (who I assume used to work with Joe correct?) and I was checking on what type of rocker the cam was desined for 1.6 or 1.5 to keep pistion-valve problems out of the question, bu tI didn't ask about the spring.
Anyone know if either one is on Ls1tech, I'll send them a PM.

Nope, Lloyd did work with Joe about two years ago not anymore.

You need to call or e-mail Joe about what you need to run with that cam.

Anyone know how I can reach him by phone or e-mail?
I did some searching on google.com and all i came up with was www.lethalefi.com and none of the links worked except for a few, and they didn't show any contact info.
I know Elliots site is eportworks.com or something like that, but I'm sure it doesn't have any info on JO.

You could e-mail Lloyd and ask him what springs he used to run with that setup. My guess is a K-800 or a 977-16
