Default lt1 @ 6psi stock

I've been looking at the powerdyne scer for a little while...

http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...f6ebdf0d27a8c0

Though I question the "NOTE: This kit requires the purchase of a 200LPH in-line fuel pump, FMU, and ignition controller. "

and was wondering, if procharger had the same requirements...

6psi should run perfectly OK on a stock LT1 correct? Engine, tranny, rear, etc? I know i'll probably need to get bigger injectors, maybe a fuel pump...anything else anyone would recommend? I'm just looking for a quicker, round-town car (all street no stripping). They claim 55% at 6psi, but does anyone know what this setup pushes to the ground?

If you're going to use a FMU, you don't need to upgrade injectors, it's designed to utilize your stockers, if you're upgrading, which I highly recommend, then you can ditch the FMU. Also, a new fuel pump is almost mandatory when getting any type of forced induction. Walbro's, racetronix, aeromotive, and vortech t rex are all names you should become familiar with. As far as 6psi goes, yeah you should be good with a stock bottom/top end with just 6 pounds. good luck and make sure to post pics!

so if im "upgrading" and i choose not to do the FMU...I toss a walbro 255 universal pump in there...what #s should I go with...stockers are what 24s? 28s? Should I go with 30s?

Then the NOTE message on that powerdyne site about the needing of the FMU wouldnt apply?

If you go with only bigger injectors and fuel pump, you'll have to have it tuned also.

If your looking into a SC get a procharger or a vortech. I have seen and been in all setups. The powerdyne was the worst. Also dont get a FMU. Just get 30lb injectors and a 255 pump and get it tuned. Change the plugs also to tr6.

55's should be good, i run tr6's with my setup, also, I'd recommend some 36's or 42's, Lucas blue top's are only like 289.99 at new era performance, that's where I got mine.

Well put.

Although a tune isnt neccesary, I'd recommend it anyways. You can up your stock fuel injector P.S.I. to accomodate the amount of air.
You will need a better fuel pump.

Also, you want to adjust your shift points. The one thing that kills SB 350's is high rpms. I wouldn't go over 5800, and that is still alot for 6 PSI on a stock valvetrain.

Personally, I'd rather get something intercooled, but it's all up to you.

Ohh and one more thing....
Headers are a must when that much compression is in your engine. The stock exhaust manifolds are inadequate.
Not only that, with FI, you will see more HP from your headers with that much air being pushed through your engine.

dont you have to upgrade your injectors becuase the stock ones wont handle the fuel pressure the fmu will generate? you will end up locking up the injectors.
you can go with a svo 24# they can handle the pressure.
