I have pacesetter lt's w/ air and egr, hooker cat back, custom y pipe, qtp cutout, nkgtr55...
The cat i have in there now is small, because the car is lowered, and its the only one that wont scrape, do u think replacing that with a larger one will help. or are there any other suggestions?
Thanks

pacesetter lt's, hooker cat back, moroso cai, qtp cutout (closed at emissions), ngk tr55 plugs.
I dont know if the whole money thing will work out here, prob not. this sucks, on top of all that my ac clutch tore apart at the rivets
I would put a pair of cats in, and make sure the car is up to temp when they do the test!
BTW... all those "Guarantee to amke your car pass" addititives are complete garbage, I've never once seen a car pass useing one of them (and I've done over 5,000 cars)

From what I have seen and read, Cats do not make a huge difference. A properly tuned car that is in excellent mechanical shape will make the biggest difference. Now, if you have a big cam with a lot of overlap, etc. go back to my first sentence.
No matter how you tune that bitch, it will probably put out too much emissions.
