oil woooows
oil woooows when I start up the car everything is awesome, its just when I do hard braking. if I brake too fast the oil pressure gauge drops, if I do it hard enough ti will go all the way to 0, and the gauge light comes on.
It did this before my new setup, I've alweays thought it was the pressure sending unit....but I have been told it might be the pickup in the pan.
the previous owner said he has chenged them out before and it has been fine....I dont know. last year the gauge read 0psi for a week....no knocking clanging or anything happedned. but at the end of the week my lifter that was going finally decided to die, which caused my new setup.
does anyone have a clue? I know my block was modified extensively...the pressure sensor is now down in the oil filter housing. could this cause it as well? my oil pressure never drops below 30..unless I am braking. other than that it stays above 40 at all times.
