Default hot weather problems

My 95 z28 has new brand spanking new optispark, wires, plugs and coil.Ican drive it all night long when the outside temp is 70 or lower and it runs like a champ but when i drive during the day at 90 degrees and up it starts missing bad, and the rpm's at idle go up and down from about 700to 1500. The temp gauge dosent get over 180 degrees. Whats up with that?

Mine did almost the same thing and it was the ICM.If you have a bud with an LT-1 just switch them out to test it,if not I dont think any auto parts store can test them.So takeing it to the dealer to test would cost almost as much as a new one.

also try the icm cooling mod to space it away from the head. That has helped some.
