All optis will fail at one point. The question is when and how long it will last inbetween. Im sure you agree

oh yea.... but all the hype about the MSD... yea i have one... maybe thats why im more curious to know why it failed.... or was it installer error... who knows... mines been fine so far... but i hope with the new design of this opti that it will last alot longer on any engine with any HP output..... it doesnt matter what type of distributor you have it all goes bad.. the opti's just went bad faster....

I think if someone sent there dynaspark in to be rebuilt with the msd cap and rotor it would be a great combo. I dont think dynaspark will do it though.

Well, I ended up ordering the accel today. I couldnt resist for the price. It worked out to be 189.99 shipped.
jcwhitney 199.99 with free shipping promo
-$10.00 fatcash(I am a member of fatwallet and jcwhitney gives 5% off to members of that forum)
No tax unless you live in IL
for a total 0f 189.99 shipped.
Also, right now if you use your visa you can select 90 days deferred payment and not pay any interest or the payment for 90 days.
Just sounded like to good of a deal not to try!!!

Neither does anyone else. Or at least I couldn't find any. My sensor disc got bent, thats why I ordered the Accel, and I tried forever to find a replacement.

bumping this thread. i'm curious how you liked the accel one. my 95 opti is about dead and need a new one. i really can't afford the 500 msd like some else said.

so, any problems?

*edit, been reading more, and some are saying the OEM vented over the Accel one, hrmmmmm. no one seems to have a real case against the accel one. just what they think will happen, or in thier opinion. anyone have any links where someones accel has failed? i just need something that will hold up to stock rpm redlines everyonce and awhile, mostly daily driving motor.
