Wire Mod
Yes the fuel line mod has been done. Not by me, yet. 
N20blkz, I think thats his name, did it and he has the best looking lt1 engine bay on here, probably. It is much more involved that just the wire mod. But doing it would make a huge difference, not having this ugly big line running across the engine bay.

Here's the original setup :
You'll have to get a metal hole saw big enough to fit the PCM connectors through unless you want to cut and splice them (
avoid unneccessary splicing). Jack the front pass side of the car up, remove the wheel and plastic fender-well. Move the wires out of the way on the top and make a hole back by the PCM. There's already a hole/gap towards the front for wires to get into the fender-well.
NEXT, put the cables Through it!
NEXT, Wrap them up good and figure out how to secure them. I used these sticky zip-tie things instead of velcro.
FINALLY, try starting the car to make sure there's no problems with the wires... Then button it all back up and admire your results!

Where can you get the stretch electrical tape? I see you have a roll of it, I used that stuff in the Navy, but haven't been able to find it in town.
What all is that harness hooked into? Wondering what you have to unplug to run it through.

you can get those cord organizers at office max. they work pretty good when doing something like the wire harness mod. and if youre going to do it go ahead and move the aux power and grounds down lower out of sight.

I moved it underneath the rubber bump stop for the hood. Had to use a zip-tie just so it wouldn't fall out. I might come up with something better for it later. Only other thing I could have done was extend every single wire including the big-*** battery one to put it in the fender-well, and I was to lazy for that. Here - look right beside the battery, you can see it upside down and the single zip-tie holding it.

The stretchy rubber tape is "self vulcanizing tape". The small bit of it you see in the picture is an old roll from the navy and didn't even work. I used it in the navy as well, for when I was sealing connectors up on the mast along with electric tape and gobs of liquid rubber goey ****.
good stuff. Just do a search on google for self vulcanizing tape and you'll find some. I didn't even check what the harness went to. I just unplugged it and reconnected underneath. My power for the stereo amp had to be moved, as well as the HVAC vacuum line, and the ABS wire coming from the passenger side front wheel ran through there (assuming it was ABS... two wires, orange and green twisted that came from the back of the wheel hub). That ABS one was a piece of cake, just have to trace it back to where you can unplug and then reroute and replug.

for the junction box, you can use a distribution box, find a electrical shop and get something for like a dollar...get a few eyelets and put all the power wires to it, mount that inside th wheel well also...mine is behind the coolant resavoir..right underneath where it is on top

Main reason I didn't go far with that junction piece was that larger battery wire. It just wouldn't reach far at all. I would have to extend it or get a new one thats longer. I will probably extend it when I get bored again and put it in in the fender-well somewhere.
I did this well before the car went down and i had no problems yet. I applied some electrical weather gel (not sure of the name) into the plug to help aid in the resistance of the elements corroding the connections. All went well before i tore into the motor.
