I bought my 95' z28 from a buddy about a year and a half ago. When I first got it, it ran awesome....almost just as fast as my 00' ws6. The car has headers, borla exhaust, cai, and a few smaller stuff. The car has 120,000 miles on it with the engine being rebuilt at 84,000.

In the last 6 months or so, when I give it gas, it acts like it doesnt want to shift. Eventually it 'catches' and runs fine. I have also noticed a weird popping sound coming from the drivers side of engine bay. The BBK headers do sit really close to the steering knuckle.

Anyone else have this problem? Could it be the transmission or some kind of fueling issue? Maybe distrubutor?


P.S......the car is an automatic and idles fine
