installing weld in subframes..

installing weld in subframes.. well my mechanic wanted like $200 todo it (what like 3-4 hours labor) anyways i have Lakewood LCA's to... how would I go about doing this myself all i can afford is to pay to have them welded up
is there a local college around you with a welding program? if so take it down there and see what they say. i know my school has three different shops that would weld them on for probably nothing. it wont hurt anything to take it down there and see. thats gonna be the cheapest way to go about it if you cant do it yourself.
