Default new 396 lt4

I had a MTI 396 LT4 with an cc 305 in the old Vette for over 100,000 miles when a nos dry shot stuck open and kill it Well just got all the parts back from the shop, any one heve the CC XFI 280 Cam in a 396? spec are 230 236 576 570 113 any info please let me know Thanks

i was looking at the specs of your cam and was wondering if you drive this car as a primary vehicle,the reason i ask is 396" engines like more duration @.050 than that,it already makes plenty tq.not tryin to be a jerk or a know it all just curious..

What bore did you have on that motor? Also, what gaskets did you use for it? I ask because I have a 396 LT4 right now with problems more then likely stemming from the head gaskets not working correctly.

Yes, I do drive it every day and the old 396 had the cc 305 in it and it ran GREAT for over 100,000 miles but, now I think this new bigger cam and some head work will do the job just fine. And you are not a jurk... If some one can tell me how this new cam will do in the 396 that would be Cool. As for the bore it is 4.030 and my gaskets are 4.040 mls

i dont think that cam would be that bad imo ... almost anything is possible these days with the tuning capabilities. like said the duration is a little low, but nothing terrible ... would be a big step up from the cc305.
