If they choose to get "butt hurt" because they don't like the correct answer, that is their problem and not mine. Same goes for you. If you don't like teh answer fine, but that doesn't make it any less right, or give you teh right to start slinging sarcastic remarks towards the people giving you the information. All you have been doing this entire thread is posting roll eyes icons, and arguing against a 1 answer question. I really don't know what to tell you. The answer is simple, logical and really doesn't need much thought to process. Why people want to look for something that isn't there is beyond me.

Default Replaced water pump and all hoses

This restrictor ruptured after installing everything including the opti. Is this part directional and if so whats the proper direction, thanks to anyone that chimes in. I get the part tomorrow.

The GM part has a directional arrow molded into it.

Pretty sure its just there so hot coolant stays in the heater core longer.

Even so, this is a 10 year old thread...

If you look closely at the drawing in parenthesis it says re-stricter which is usually a orifice of some sort to reduce the pressure and flow FWIW.
