Default exhaust question

i just put my true duals put on like a week ago... I was just curious why it backfires so much at wot is there a solution to this??

my car back fired a lot when i had exhaust leaks by the collectors. then once i fixed the leaks no more back fireing.

its pretty common for these cars to pop alot when the rpms come down after you put on a cat back. less back pressure, and its louder so you can hear it more.

Mine does the same thing when the cutout is open.

nope the lt1 does it naturally ... getting a tune could help it out ... you might be running a bit rich. even a perfect a/f setup with still have some pop.

Yea the Lt1 does that normally, mine does it faintly with the full exhaust hooked up, and it does it really really loud with the cutouts open

do you have a header leak?
if its popping when your at wot then yeah you have a problem. but if its doing it after you let off its normal.
