cam for my 97 ss ok, any of you guys know of a cam that will perform better than the lt4 hotcam would? i'm not changing heads at this time so it will be just a cam swap for now, as to the car is my daily driver. i like the mean lopy sound but if not , then i'll take the power gain over than any day. just finished my other car with the le2 setup and it runs pretty good, so now its time to mess with my dd a lil bit. any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks
For stock heads I would suggest the cc305 or cc503. You will not see much of a gain by going with the cc306 or gm847 until you get some heads/headwork done. If heads are definatly down the road then go ahead with the bigger cam, because when you do get heads you will really be able to feel/use the higher rpm power that they make at 6300+
