trans question whats up everyone i have a question i was looking to put about 450 hp to the wheels i was wondering how the stock trans would hold up to that?

well i have a 700r4 i had built by a guy locally that rated to 650 hp i was thinkin about throwing that in there need to kno if there would be any comp. problems with that
the 60e being controlled by electronics, and the 700 not, would be the first problem right there. im sure you could do it, since there are guys running glides, and th350/400. but to me it would be more hassel than what its worth. your goal isnt to make 700 hp. your a street car. id sell the 700r4 and send the 60e to get built.

yeah thats prolly what ill do like i said im gonna push like 450 so i think i will sell it get the heads and cam done then over the winter pull the trans and have it built thanks for the knowledge

Anybody upgrading your 4l60e will start with corvette servo,shift kit,upgraded sun shell etc. that will allow it to easily handle 450 hp. As is though it's just a matter of time before your trans will go.
