on a stock cam and stock ratio rocker arms...it would take several hundred thousand miles for them to quit. they slowly lose power over time as they lose their ability to close the valve quickly. maybe 5hp loss by 150k miles?? who knows.
I didn't waste time or money getting them tested, but I pulled my stockers off around 132k, seemed to still be intact, so for losses who knows, seem to take abuse well though. I'm not shy with that gas pedal. Daily blasts to 5400rpm.
stock valve springs form the factory just plain suck,they have roughly 75-83lbs and are very weak for performance driving,valve springs on any LT1 or LS1 should be hi on the "need to replace list" if you do rockers upgrade the springs dont be cheap,they should have put 125lb springs on from the factory but not everyone bought these cars to race!

now this is the best thing i have heard in a long time,very wise choice!lets face it a dropped valve due to a broken spring is a rough start to rebuilding a new motor .
