Default anyone running pacesetter mids?

I have been looking for mac midlengths because from what I've read they make almost as much power as longtubes but with alot more ground clearence. Well I haven't been able to find a decently priced set, but the pacesetter mids are really cheap. Anyone running the pacesetter mids? if so how do you like them, and what kind of power gains did you see or what kind of power are you making with them?

only problem ive had is since i put my cam in two weeks ago i have the steering linkage hitting one of the tubes. if i had to do it over i would spend the money and get the long tubes. youll pick up more low end torque from them too.

I had the same problem with the old set of mids that I had. Get the Pace Setter LT's, and put them in. They have an excellent ground clearance also.

i was running pacesetter mids, which are for sale now, and had NO problems. They woke the lt1 up a lot. Mine did not hit anything on the car. So if you want a set for cheap hit me up. They only have about 300 miles on them.

I run them. They had to be notched to clear the steering linkage. They woke my car up quite a bit I'm very happy with them.

well mine cleared the steering linkage with NO problems at all so i am not seeing as to why you had to ding or bend anything on them.

I had to really dent the primaries to clear the stearing nuckle on mine. And i had some issues with the allignment of the y-pipe. I had to put on one peace of the y and bend it up with the floor jack so that it would mate up properly with the other part of my y pipe (its a 2 part y pipe). but other than that i like em

i run the pacesetter mids on my 94 and ive been very happy with them. they are my favorite mod so far. the steering linkage was very very close but not quite touching my headers so i tapped it a few times and now its fine. they were tough to put in i couldnt imagine trying to get some big a$$ longtubes in there.

I have them and I absolutely LOVE them! The car sounds so much better and the powerband is much longer now! I didn't install them myself because I had no time but the shop said they had to pinch the pipe by the steering linkage a little to make them fit. Not a big deal at all in my book!
