why not get a 700R4/4L60 from B&M... I did and its holding up.... I've been told by a lot of mechanics and o ther people that they are the same... the only difference is the 4L60E is electronic... I have a 95 and took the 4L60E out and put a 700R4 in it from B&M..... and believe me either mway going to another tranny that wasn't made for the car is a pain in the ***..

As stated the 4L60E is just a 700R4 with electronic valvebody, you would need a newer pcm and wiring to run it but would also get MAF and heated O2s out of that deal.
Swapping from a 4L60E to a 700 is going backwards the asdjustablility the 4L60E offers is worth it and a good 700R4 rebuilt will include a lot of the hardpart updates the 4L60E came with. B&M is NOT where I would go for a good tranny from this line I would say talk to pro-built.net or Finishline Transmissions those are the only two shops I would even consider for a 600rwhp build
