Default ███████Motor Mounts??███████

im going to be dropping my 383 in within the next 2 weeks and i was just thinking i probably should do motor mounts while im at it. i saw some of the solid motor mounts and i saw some poly ones. any recommendations for a daily driver car? are the solid ones overkill?

Solid ones will shake the crap out of the car..lol
Poly ones are firm themselves.

I would not do solids for several reasons, one you say it is a DD, the vibration transmission will be more than most would appreciate and then they are a PITA. Obviously nothing moves. SO when trying to get a trans on/off the trans has to be perfectly aligned before it will move, where as if you had poly/stock mounts the motor would sag some and allow more movement to align everything plus able to get tools where you need them.

I have considered going back to stockers b/c of the ease of R&R.

Go to the vids section, there is a LS1 guy that posted a vid of soild mounts and it doesnt seem bad.

Polymounts shake like hell, so soilds are just going to be a little worse. I think soild is worth it, people are making polys seem like they vibe a little, they dont they shake like hell.

In my DSM the filling in you teeth rattle lol

i just switch to prothane mounts and they dont shake or make any more noise then before i changed. the entire drivetrain is firm which makes the car more fun to drive.

Stock motor mounts. 143 mph in the quarter and 680+ rwhp. No problems.
