Default CC306 or Comp 230/236?

CC306 Or the Comp "Extreme" 230/236?

I already have the 306 but ive been thinking of selling it and getting the 230/236. Im open to any suggestions.

Ive heard that they both put down similar numbers. Keep in mind this will be a daily driver that will see some track time but not much. The motor will probably see ported heads a few months after the cam. almost 45k on the motor mods are in sig. thanks in advance guys

I havent realy looked into it that much. i will stick with the 112lsa if i trade. i just know the cam makes as much power as the 306...but it might be a little more streetable.

THere are 2 "Extreme" 230/236 cams. The Xtreme Energy is 230/236 .510/.520 (1.5) 110 LSA (can be cut on a 112) or the "Xtreme Fuel Injection" 230/236 .576/.571 (1.6) 113 LSA, which one are you considering?

I tell you what. I will give you the choice of a GTP6 or a GM#847. Either one for $175 to your door and you will have a better cam then either of those and they will be easier on your valve train.

Im guessing its the Xtreme Fuel Injection 230/236 .576/.571 that ive been hearing about. Which one would you guys recommend? I think i would be happy with the c306, but then again if i can get more power from something similar im cool with that too. Any comparisons out there? Anyone running any of these cams? all info would be great. thanks guys!

Well i dont know anything about the GTP6 and i was actually considering the 847 but i went with the 306 cause it was slightly smaller.

Before i forget im going to be running 918 springs and trick flow pushrods...if that helps anyone with my concerns.

I bought the 280XFI cam (the one mentioned above) and plan on using it with 1.65rr to get .596/.591. The lobes are bit more aggressive than the Xtreme energy ones and provide more lift with a wider LSA. The cc306 might work better with nitrous or provide more top end but I went with the 280XFI because I have a hunch it'll make at least the same amount of power with a better curve and more streetability.

I got it from summit for 245$. I think comp wants 373 or something like that.

In stock too, the Gen I version is always backordered for some reason. It was back when I got mine in April too.....

Thanks for the compliment. If you have any questions about the EXACT cam specs for the 280XFI, such as IVO or anything like that I have the cam card and would be more than happy to post up any info you might want.
