help on a build? i have a bone stock automatic 94 z 28. im wanting to build a engine for nitrous and get the suspension tranny and rearend upgrades also. could someone help me out with this build up? where do i need to start.. what engine i go for. 355 383 388 or something else? im wanting a good 1/4 mile car. wanting 500rwhp N/a if it is possible and be able to spray 200 shot of nitrous at least. but one thing, i want to be able to take the car out and go to the grocery if i need to, dont want it to be a track only car...thanks for help in advanced

if you want that kinda power NA, skip the 355, and go right for the 383-396 range. Considering there are many daily driver heads and cam cars with 400 rwhp, I think it is doable with a 383.
Your gonna go from bone stock to a 500 rwhp car? hmmm... no baby steps? Start doing research! I'd start with getting a really nice heads and cam package(like AI, LE, etc ported lt1 castings.), supporting bolt ons you need, and so on. but, you COULD save money by going all out and building a motor right away.
