The first sentence is right as is the third, the second one though is WRONG.
The runners ARE NOT raised neither are the runners in the LT4 heads. The runners in the heads are TALLER. The LT4 intake has more material on top of the ports to seal to the head with larger ports BUT the ports and plenum are pretty well identical to those in the late LT1 intake YES they are much smaller than the ports in the heads and yes they are in the same location as the LT1 intakes. The extra material an LT4 intake has would allow it to be port matched to the heads, to do such with an LT1 intake you need to have some extra material added on top of the ports via welding, then have it machined flat and port it. That would likely be the cheaper option these days as most people falsly believe there is something more to it than there is and the price has gotten rediculous. If someone would just start offering premodified LT1 intakes for this purpose and EXPLAINED why that works I bet we could see the price drop to a reasonable level.

Not worth the money at all right now. I've seen them as high as 700.00 on the net. I did'nt mind paying 240.00 for mine about 1.5 yrs ago
