you need the crane spring kit with the dual springs, and probably want a bigger throttle body..I'm hoping you have headers and a good exhaust, etc. don't forget gaskets, etc.

Yes, rockers will be needed with this cam as the stock rockers couldn't handle the high lift. Its better to get non self aligning rockers for 7/16" studs. Hardened pushrods and guid plate will be requied.

Just get some stiffer springs. Comp beehive #26918 worked for me.

Headers help too, but I guess you don't NEED them. Thats all I did and my car runs like a champ.

I think the crane spring kit would be a better deal if it'll allow the lift of the 847. I used the beehive 918 since that seems to be the more popular choice. Most people reuse the stock lifters, but upgrading the pushrods to at least a hardened set is recommended. Larger full roller rockers are also recommended as they provide a good hp gain, I went with Comp Pro Mags and upgraded the rocker studs to 7/16" for more strength. You should also upgrade the timing chain. This decision is going to be based on two things, model year and waterpump. If you go with an electric wp, you'll have more options that are much cheaper like the Cloyes double roller which is what I'm using. Otherwise you're pretty much stuck with the LT4 ED timing set. Don't forget gaskets, lots of cam lube, and all the tools you'll need if you're doing this yourself.

And an even better spring solution is the Patriot Performance dual LT1 spring kit, with seats, titanium retainers, and up to .660 lift, all for 255 list or 240 fromTRTTurbo.com (Both sponsors). TRT is a limited time price.

Those beehives are EXPENSIVE when you add Ti retainers!

Yeah, but with that cam, I don't think you'll really need Ti retainers, but that's your option. I chose to stay away from a dual spring for ease of install.

You can get those springs cheap off Ebay. I don't know why Comp charges so much on their site.

Call up speed engineering and see what they can offer you. I got all my valvetrain parts through them and saved a ton. If they're not site sponsers here, you can get to them on camaroz28.com good luck.
