Making weird sound..? HELP!!! I was out racing tonight and by the end of my last run with some other guy, my car started making a funny sound, and its only when i press in on the clutch. Also when i let off the gas, and also when the car is in neutral. Do you think it is the throwout bearing? Since it mainly does it when something has to do with the transmission. Kind of a constant tapping sound at a rapid pace. Input needed...!?!

YES!!! it is a throwout bearing. by the way you described it, that sounds identical to what happend to my car. what i would do, since your gonna have to pull the tranny anyways, is just replace the whole clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearings at the same time. may as well while your down there ya know what i mean?
