not charging????
not charging???? im looking if anyone knows where the 12v wire goes to-from the alternator to charge the battery. i dont have 12volts there im just trying to figure out where its coming from-i dont have my manual in front of me and my cars dead at my buddies house!!!!????
it doesn't really matter about the wire. All you need to do to see if the car is charging(aka if your alt is working) start the car (sounds like you'll need a jump) and place the positive lead on the alt where the cable connects and then ground the black lead on your volt meter to a good ground. you should see around 14v if not a little more. if you have your 14v or so then you have a draw or you left one of your map lights on.
