Ed please explain more why you think the lt4 heads are too big? I am curious because I see a lot of ported lt1 heads on 350/355 engines that are well over 205cc and they seem to work well.

You can't exactly say a set of heads are too big. but you can have too small a cam for them though.

Velocity. I personally have not seen anybody with heads that big in an NA, foot braked, automatic trans 355" running very quick. I see dyno numbers, but no quick ETs. Usually ETs in the mid/high elevens or even low twelves. Talk to a cylinder head shop that has some fast 355" normally aspirated LTx customers out there, not dyno queens. Go with what they recomend. Probably won't be that big. My quicker 355" customers are running intake ports in the 180 to 185 cc range.

Just how fast is Mr Heatmaker?
