This is an LT1 but it will prolly apply to all motors. Im switchin to a solid roller setup from what i currently have. What do i need to do to find the length of the pushrods i need? how will i know if i can use the ones i have now or not?

I am running a solid roller from Lingenfelter and here is what I did. I dialed the cam in with a degree wheel. I had used Manley Valves that are .100 taller than factor to clear the Crane Gold Race Roller Rockers. I then installed a factory intake pushrod, installed a dial gauge on the top of the valve spring and turned the engine over until I was at 2/3 lift (.400 ). I then looked at where the roller was sitting on the top of the valve stem. It wasn't in the center of the valve stem so I borrowed an adjustable pushrod to get the desired length. I had to add approx .130 to the factory length to get the roller in the center of the valve stem at 2/3 lift. Anybody else want to chime in on their procedure.

Well, I think the key here is the adjustable pushrod length checker tool. I marked the top of the valvestem tip with a sharpie marker, set lash, then rotated the engine (two rotations of the crank = one rotation of the camshaft). I just kept shortening the adjustable pushrod length checker tool in increments of .050" until the wear pattern on the valvestem tip was centered & as narrow as possible.

Once you find a good length, measure it with some calipers, and order a set of pushrods.

(Keep in mind that you might need to do this procedure for both the intake and exhaust valve -- they might each require a different length depending on your exact setup.)
