Heads without cam
Heads without cam I always see people asking about cam without heads, but I want to know what is the reality of maybe some LE1 or LE2's, AFR 180's etc. putting down decent numbers without the bumpstick. I would like to see 340-350whp with long tubes and heads with supporting mods and a good tune. Sound reasonable?
My reasoning is this:
I want to put spray on and most people say not to with H/C considering the car has 85k.
There seems to be a lot of people spinning rod bearings after cam swaps. This happened to me three times with my DSM, which is why I own a Pontiac
now.
I do all of my own work to my cars and I'm not comfortable doing the cam and I don't know of anywhere near me that I would trust to do it, either.
Also, I drive back and forth to Vegas once or twice a month so driveablity is a must.

Heads are the chokepoint on our motors stock, but once ported they'll flow near 280 cfm (good port job..) and support much more power. You could definetly see 350 to the wheels.
