Default this is my story

I have so much money in my car and i can not break out of the 13.5 second range. My best run ever was 13.5 with 2.6 60ft at 112mph. Now i know my biggest problem is straction so i went to some nitto drag tires. So i go back up to the track . My fist pass was 13.6 with 2.5 60 foot times. My second pass i let some air out of the tires went with 22 psi. Light droped i left tires acutlay hooked. Slam in to second and pop , bang, crunch, roll down last half of track. Grind her to get her into first get my time slip i ran a 13.9 with a 60 foot time of 2.0 and my 330 ft times was a full second faster than my best pass ever. To make a long and sad story short i shaterd my cenerforce clutch and had to park my car for the summer with time slips still iN the high 13 range. Well any ways that pisse me off badly. So i decide to break out the credit cards and do some shopping. I am hopping to break into the 11 second area do you think i can do it This is what i am doing now

psh, you shoudl be WAY into the 11's with that setup....with the blower alone you should have been good for low 12's high 11's if tuned properly. your 60's are HORRID, lol, need to work on those

I dunno about running 11s on a 6lb blower but there definetly should be some 12s and possibly mid 12s.

No offense but I've done my share of credit card racing, but I'm gonna mention that if you need to go into debt to do all this stuff whats going to happen if/when the engine breaks. Just being realistic, but at any time when your using Forced Air or Nitrous its something you should be prepared for..... [/father figure]

Good luck! The list looks reasonable. Just don't let the ease of the credit card turn it from a $7k prject into $12-$15k since its so easy to spend money you don't actually hjave in your pocket.

Listen to him on this one, he knows what he is talking about. I have seen folks that build a real nice car and then break something mid-summer that puts them down for the count. Not cool, but you can't keep running to your cards like a bottomless pit of cash.

I'm sure you know what your doing though.

No offense here but I think we can trouble shoot alot of your problems right here. Afterall it is the drag section

Give me the run down of what you do at the line, step by step. What do you leave at? Whats tires pressure at? etc

Good stuff has already been said and I will say Amen to it all. Especially since I can speak from experience.

Just from the looks of it you are trying to rpm to much on the launch. If you had the stock rear with 3.42's I feel your pain. I once basically had the same mods as you so I know where you are coming from. To little rpm and you bogg, too much and you spin. I also see you still had/have the stock manifolds. 93-95 single cat manifolds are horridly restricted. When I put the longtubes on I gained 50hp and that was even through the closed borla adjustable catback. I also couldn't break out of the 13's with the stock manifolds so I know your pain.

Your list doesn't look too bad but honestly you could have saved a good wad of cash on the driveshaft. A 1LE or even an LS1 driveshaft would have been fine for your use and got you in for 150 bucks. For drag racing you should have bought a new stock flywheel because you want the stored energy the heavy stocker provides as opposed to the lighter flywheel.

Other than that things look okay. Did you provide the cam grinder your flow #'s for the custom ground cam?
