No More Smog? I am in the middle of a cam and head swap. So i thought why not put some hooker LT on it. I live in Fl so emissions are no prob, now that the cats and all the smog stuff is gone I was woundering what has to be done to the car for it to run right. Im sure i have to do some computer stuff. just want to know what i have to look forward to. any help will be great <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />

Re: No More Smog ? If your car is a 97 than your going to have to either pick up LT1 Edit for OBDII or your going to have to send your computer off to someone and have them turn off the emmissions controls. Otherwise, your going to be riding around with an SES light starring you in the face.

Re: No More Smog ? if you are 96-97 you will need 02 simms for the rear sensors. on a few cars i have seen, the egr was deleted and somehow the ses light didnt come on, but for the most part it will flash if the egr isnt connected and you will need to have the computer reprogrammed to get rid of the light. other than that, you are good to go with longtubes.

Re: No More Smog ? any performance shop will have them. thunder racing( www.thunderracing.com ), MTI( www.motorsporttech.com ), Racenet( www.racenet.net ) will have them. Check out the many sponsers of LS1tech. on the side column, most any of them will have some available.
