Bolts on back of heads???

Default Bolts on back of heads???
I'm starting to tear down my LT1 for a 383 rebuild and am wondering if I am going to need to keep the pipe that connects to the back of the two heads and then runs to the intake manifold. What is this actually a breather of some sort??? The 383 LT1 will be going into my 73 firebird so no emission related systems will remain. If this is one of them can I just plug the holes with some bolt plugs?

no its a coolant ventilation.... it needs to stay... there was a post on this not to long ago... try searching for it...

it doesnt go to the intake...it runs beside it to go to the radiator
