Performance Opti? Was wondering if any of you guys have any personal experience or have used this distributor http://www.dynotech-eng.com/dynaspark.htm I will currently be changing mine and was thinking this looks like a good replacement. If not at least your opinion of the opti.
Re: Performance Opti ???? That opti looks like a good alternative for the GM piece. I have a '94 A4 Vette and had the opti replaced at the dealer sometime last year. The first one they put in lasted less than a week, and then they had to special order a new one. If I had to do it again, I would go with the aftermarket one.

I need a new opti right now anyway, I'll see if I can't get over there this week or next and take a look at it (probably buy one) and see what the shop and everything is all about. We're they the ones working on a opti eliminator kit with LS1 coil packs as well??

Some people were talking about that on CZ28.com, I dont see the real limits of a properly working stock opti, old whats his face with the red 94 T/A went 10.01@135 on a stock opti. Reliability? Hell my stock non vented lasted 10 years untill a the water pump threw up and killed it. My buddy has close to 100K miles on his stock unit. Couple 93 guys got to near 200K on his. Its not like they go out every 5K miles, if it does, some thing else is wrong.

Re: Performance Opti ???? I have had the same non vented opti on my car now since it rolled off the assembly line in Dec of 93. It racked up 98,xxx miles on it. Just need to change to the LT4 style chain so I have to swap.
I was just curious if there was any actual difference in this one than a stock GM piece other than the backplate??

Re: Performance Opti ???? From what people tell me they basically fixed everything that wasnt wrong with the GM opti. The parts that are the problem are still the same. So there is no point in paying 3 times the cash for one that just looks pretty in a spot you cant see it anyhow.
