Default Another LT1 head question :)

Can 2.02/1.60 valve seat's be installed in the aluminum headed LT1? I know the Iron's have enough meat around them..but not sure about the aluminum's I made the mistake of already ordering the 2.02/1.60 raceflow's before I even thought to check for fitment..I slid a pair of 2.00/1.56's into the stock seat's and it comes pretty close to the outer edge of the chamber..will they fit? Thank's I know with new seat's they will "sink" somewhat..just hoping it will be enough Some say they have 2.055/1.60's in their LT1 packages?? call me crazy, but that would seem rather difficult to pull of without putting the damn seat right into the short side lol...later,

carter

On LT1 heads the biggest valves you can go with on a stock seat are 2.00"/1.56". If you want to use the 2.02"/1.60" then you need to get bigger seats installed.

There are guys that have 2.055"/1.60" but those are more of a custom setup.
