Default first time at track with new lt1

well it wasnt a good night at the track tonight.
best i could muster was a 14.3@97 on a 2.35 60 ft. now i know the et is down cuz of the 60 ft but the mph seems way low consiering what is done to the car. all runs were made on pilot sports and full weight.

mods are as follows:
borla
gutted cat
maf ends
midwest 3000 converter

i know i need my nittos to help my 60 ft but why i feel the mph is alot off of what i was expecting

Judging by your 60' time I'd say you're spinning off the line. Funny, that usually raises your mph. Maybe some of the auto guys can comment on what effect the convertor has on your mph.

Ouch, those aren't good times even for a stock car. Your MPH if off by atleast 2. Get a Cold Air, with that and the mods you have, your car should do atleast mid 13s to low 13s with traction. But that sixty foot is killing you, cut more like that and your never going to run any thing decent. The way your car sits, with a better sixty should do deep 13s with traction.

with Borla and a gutted cat, you might be getting a lot of false knock. I was getting false knock with just a cutout and didnt know it till i hooked up an autotap. put in an LT4 knock module and SOTP difference was HUGE, and knocked about 2 tenths off the quarter as well. other than that, not to be mean or anything, but your launches suck, lol. for every .1 off in the 60', thats .15 off in the quarter as a rule of thumb so you need to get that launch down.

thanks for the replies guys. Yes i agree my launches suck. I have nittos for the car just couldnt get em on in time. O well theres always next time. Interesting thought on the false knock. Ill have to hook a scanner up to it.
