no...your converter should be zero balanced with weights...cant go on wrong...the flywheel is balanced from the factory...and you will have to buy another stock one from gm if you want to get another...i see you have a 355 was it zero balanced?

Alright cool. Im not sure...i bought the car after with the motor already built. Is is possible that when had my tranny put on they might have put the flex plate on backwards?? would that even matter is what im really asking. I really think that my flexplate got bent when we put the converter in, we did have one of those tools to turn it so we used a crow bar. I guess i will just buy another flexplate and see what happens.

Before i forget, i did spin the converter around today and it seems like the vibration is a little different since then. but who know it could be in my head.

I've turned many flywheels like that and never had an issue. could it be the u-joints? Just thinking out loud

I thought the same thing, and had them replaced...no fix. Plus it vibrates in park. When the RPM's are falling after a rev in park it feels horrible and my steering wheel will shake. maaan i have alot of little things to work out with this thing.

Every once in a while we see converters out of balance. Un hook the converter and push it back then start the car and see if the bounce goes away. if it does get the converter warrantied

push it back... you mean away from the fly wheel? so it isn't connected to the motor anymore? (clarity)

Yes, exactly. Then start the engine. If the vibes go away get them to warranty the TC

This is a common practice for checking if the TC is out of balance It may make some noise if you try to rev it high but as long as the hub is still in the crank(which it should not come out of) every thing is OK.
