Default Same F*CKED up problem

Ive posted many times trying to find the solution to my problematic car.

The car runs PERFECT if you ez into the gas, but the second you push on the gas just a little to much it spits and sputters.

I had it scanned many times and the only problem code it shows is code -29 EAS electrical fault- I think that has something to do with the power going to the speedometer.

Heres the bad part, I am trying to rid myself of this car and buy an LS1 so i was going to take some pics and post them on Ebay. I stopped by the local car was and sprayed the car down, popped the hood and sprayed the engine down (i didnt drown it.) Then the car wouldnt start. I figured it might do as much since i wet the engine but after 4 hours and it still not starting the battery went dead. So i started to jump it and then the starter went up in a blaze of glory. So i got a new starter charged the battery and started it. Now it runs like **** 100 times worse. Agin if you ez into the throttle no problem, but now if you give it to much it coughs so bad it actualls slows down. In nuetral at an idel if you smash it to wide open throttle it coughs and then revs up, and sometimes it just coughs and doesnt rev up.

One thing i noticed was at the car wash when i was trying to start it i smelled something funny and was searching for what it was and the cat was glowing orange.

PLEASE HELP ME IM GOING TO GO INSANE

new parts-
OPti spark
DIstributor cap and rotor
EGR valve
Starter
FUel filter
Air filter
O2 sensor

The opti might be put on wrong, or redamaged also check the opti harness that plugs into it. check coil wire to opti make sure is good, then check spark plug wires and plugs.

the cat was glowing? uh huh.... cloged? either that, or it's running real rich, suggesting the ignition system could very well be to blame. ya know... no spark, fuel goes out.

Uh i guess you could say it sounds like a Vac cleaner. i can hear it pull in air in the engine compartment somewhere when the hood is up, and i turn the car off. I thought maybe a vacume leak or craked intake could be to blame, but maybe not...Is it expensive to get the cat cleaned, because i cant get it cut off i have tried many times and noplace will do it.

If it sounds like a vac cleaner then im going to say its 95% of your problem. No one will do it because it is illeagle to gut the cat. The only thing they will do is replace it with a new one. I say do what you have to to get it off by yourself and then gut it. I have the stock Ypipe with a gutted cat just laying around i just wish you were local i would hook you up. You could find an Offroad Y-pipe that fits stock headers for pretty cheap i think $120, a new cat is going to be expensive 250 range. Its up to you. I would just do long tubes headers and a off road Y pipe, but i know your not keeping the car and its not a good idea for you.

yeah, sounds like a clogged cat.we had a work van that did that exact thing.if you ease on it it ran fine, punched it and it would get the hickups, then all of a sudden start going again.felt like the transmission or something trying to shift then all of a sudden it would just go.figured out it was a pice of the cat converter broken off inside.
