Wont Start... What to do..

Wont Start... What to do.. Well it seemed like it was doing better recently, starting almost instantly, but drove fine all the way to my friends house even stopped for air in the tires and to get change.
Set for a hour or 2 came back out and now it would start. It will turn over and sound like its firing, or not getting any fuel or something but I'm not sure.
What all can i check?
Isn't there a purge value for the fuel right behind the instake that i can check?
Also how should i check for spark.
And what else could it possible be?? I had a bad 02 that i know of and I have a interview monday so hopefully i can get it fixed soon!
