Default Setup

After looking at the cost of parts and what I can afford, I am looking into building the Engine I got into a 383 Stroker. Feel free to comment on the setup I want to build, and if you have something similar, let me know how it does..
383 Stroker Project:
Eagle 3.75" Crank
Eagle 5.7" Rods
Kieth Black Pistons (4.030), 11.0:1 Compression
Heads will be ported to flow 230/160ish, with 2.02/1.6 Valves
Comp Cam 230/236, 576/570, 113 LSA with 1.6 RR
2400 Stall
The rest will be the same current mods.. LT's, 3.73's etc..

It will cost about $2500 over what I am going to spend already to rebuild the 350, so I am debating it. I have a 4-Bolt Main Block, so that will help.

I would upgrade the pistons to SRP, Diamond, or Mahle, but everything else looks good.

Maybe more gear and stall... Who are you going to get to port your heads?

I would go for 6" rods, makes for a lighter piston.
I would save a buck on the heads by going with 2.00/1.56 valves plenty of performance can be had with that size as that is what the vast majority of the fast heads/cam cars are running and it takes less work on the head to do it.

More stall is a good recommendation too.

I'll see what I have in the Funding, I am still leaning toward a Valve Job, and keeping it the 350. It was fun cause it was killing everything around here the way it way. Everything else is going together well, I am getting all the required Gaskets and small stuff like that for now.

Go at least 3000-3200 stall. And if you're going to port the heads, I would port them a little more than that. Maybe look at getting a set from the famous head guys around here. That's just me though, no offense. Why 113 LSA on the cam?

That's what the Cam is offered in, it will be a little smoother, and still have the power.
