volt meter jumping around?

Default volt meter jumping around?
when i turn my radio on in my 97 z/28 the check gauges light came on and my volt gauge was dancing around. is my alternator going out?

voltage regulator might be going out... replacing alt.. take it to autozone to they can test it

i had a similar problem where my volt guage was jumping around when i floored the gas pedal and it turned out to be a lose ground wire.
