Do you guys think this could work? I'm gonna be pulling my engine this week. An idea I had to help clean up the engine bay and make things a little more efficient while it's out is to do the steam line mod with aftermarket hoses and fittings. Where it differs is that when I reinstall the engine, instead of running the steam line over the intake manifold and plugging it back into the radiator, I'd run the steam line directly into the heater core, and only have the return line from the heater core running back to the bottom left pipe on the water pump.
I would then just cap off the upper left pipe on the water pump, and plug the steam line return on the radiator. Wallah: same functionality with two less hoses cluttering up the engine bay.
Think it could work?
