Default Need Some Help with my LT1

I have a 97 z28 30th aniversary edtion camaro, it has alot of the bolt ons, and has a small problem.At cold idle the car sputters and stalls and doesnt respond well to throttle, when it heats up its fine. Also i want any help on any other mods i may need.Im afraid that when i got the motor rebuilt, and all the mods done to it, the guy didnt change the computer, so whats the best route to go there?

that's part of your problem. You need a tune for that Gran MAF and that 58mm TB (if car is auto)

ok, so what is the best way to go about this, i havent had much luck finding computer stuff....

Talk to bryan at PCM for less.. he does a great job. Ion at Madz28 does a a great job too. i would reccomend however that you buy a spare PCM so you never have to be w/o one. It will probably take a few times before you can actually get the bugs worked out. but both companies are DAMN GOOD.

Also- i have heard that some people do an OBDII to OBDI conversion - i guess there are less parameters and the OBDI's are easier to tune, one guy i met had a 96 and he said he gained 60hp with a tune and obdI conversion.

aftermarket mafs dont really do anything for your car, if you have stock id advise switching back and 58 mm TB is pointless, stock intake bores are 52mm, and stock tb is good for over 350hp round that range
