cc306 or gm847
cc306 or gm847 Which of these is going to give me more of a choppy sound. I am doing the heads and decided to change the cam??? I want something that sounds good like the le2 cam
Picking a cam by sounds is a really bad idea man, pick a cam by what kinda power you want to make and the entire set up, thats the best way to do it or your going to end up with a set up that sounds great but either doesnt run good or not what you want.
for best streetability and a great choppy idle..cc503. for a little more tuning work and a choppy idle but a little higher rpm range, cc306. for a little more power but a lot more tuning and big lift, 847. I say custom cam. just my $.02
Most any big nasty cam will give you the sound you're looking for, but like 350 said you Do Not pick a cam by how it sounds. You can't go wrong with the cc306 or gm847 or the best would be a custom cam. I was going to go with a gm847 but came across a used cc306 for $150 bucks and could'nt pass it up. From what I know the le2 cam is a better cam than the cc306, and the le3 cam is a better cam than the gm847.
