I am in the middle of trying to change my leaking pinion seal. Everything was going great untill I tried to get the stinkin nut off. I cannot get the thing to come loose!! I have a 1 1/4 socket with a 1/2 drive rachet and a pipe wrench wedged against the torque arm to hold the yoke still.I even had a pipe wrench on the ratchet to get some leverage. I have wd40'd the hell out of it and it still won't come loose. I am doing this with the car on jackstands so space is limited. I think the socket is a little large as well. I am going to try and find a 31mm socket and see if that helps. If anyone has any other suggestions or has had this problem, please let me know. Thank you in advance.
